Circus Birthday Parties

What has Circus Themed parties so popular this year? I think it may be the ease and the options. You can gear it for a 1 year old family party or for a group of five year olds fascinated by the magic of the circus.

Of course we have great invitations at www.eestationery.com for your circus party and offer coordinating circus save the date cards and personalized stationery. Not exactly what you are looking for? Drop us an email and we'd be happy to help. bridget@eestationery.com

Here are some ideas that other clients have shared with me, stuff I hope to do for my own son's birthday and of course some resources I have found online.

Circus Birthday Party Invitations

  • Save money by sending out circus postcard invitations. We can customize plain white postcards with our circus graphics for . 75 each.
  • Looking for something scaled for the big top? Check out http://eestationery.com/item_55/Harper-Daily.htm
  • You can always cut printing cost by printing your return address yourself.

Cicrus Themed Party Decorations

  • I'm sure we'd all like a circus tent to magically appear in our back yards for a very affordable price (if anyone has a source, let me know). Think simple! Balloons can do so much to set the tone.
  • If you have tables set up, you could put a top hat (found at a party store) in the center of each table. Each place could be set with a plastic popcorn box (target usually has these in their dollar section) with the child's name and any favor goodies.
  • Choose bright colors, decorate with small boxes of animal cookies, even a bounce house can set the tone.
  • If someone has a small tailgating tent, it can make a good "station" for food or a specific activity.
Circus Themed Party Food and Cake
  • Make cupcakes and decorate them with Circus themed toppers.
  • Order pizza from your local pizzeria and ask the chef for a “party-cut”. The pizzeria will cut the pizza into smaller slices that are more appropriate for children and help you stretch the party budget.
  • Buy boxes of frozen corn dogs from the bulk aisle of your grocery store. Heat them according to the directions on the box and serve them with a napkin on a bright colored platter.
  • Buy cotton candy and popcorn and set up an area for kids to get "kid-sized" samples.
  • Snow cones are another popular circus treat and something the kids will enjoying helping make.

Circus Themed Party Games and Activities

  • See if you can a resource or vendor that offers face painting and balloon animals. You could get a clown...but not all kids are big fans of clowns at an early age...

  • Buy plastic top hats and some basic craft supplies to let the kids decorate their own ringleader hat.
  • You can also do simple activities like pin the nose on the clown, guess the number of jellybeans in the jar, or have a ring toss.
It is sure to be "The Greatest Show on Earth", or at the very least, leave your little one smiling.
